Yahoo Boy Jailed 8 Years

A notorious cyber scammer, otherwise known as YahooYahoo in local parlance, Victor Mordi, has been sentenced to eight-years imprisonment by an Ikeja High Court judge, Justice Olubunmi Oyewole.
The accused who was facing trial for financial crimes, pleaded guilty to a four-count amended charges of forgery and forgery levelled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
EFCC prosecutor, Mrs. Elizabeth Ayodele, told the court that the accused on 25 July, 2007 at 82, Oyemekun Street, Ifako–Agege, with intent to defraud, forged a letter entitled: “Nancy Gancher Thomas” dated 2 July, 2007 and purported the letter to have been written by Wang ku.
The prosecutor also informed the court that the accused with intent to defraud and in order to facilitate the process of obtaining money by false pretence knowingly and fraudulently forged a letter dated 2 July, 2007 to Nancy Gancher Thomas.
The offence committed by the accused is contrary to Section 467 and Section 468 of the Criminal Code, Cap. C17, Volume 2, Laws of Lagos State, 2003.
In his plea, counsel for the accused, Barrister Chijioke Jiakponna, pleaded with the court to temper justice with mercy, adding that his client had shown remorse for his action and voluntarily pleaded guilty in order not to waste the time of the court.

I have had two men that i have met on singles.net,,Goes by BrianPough, one said all the right things, but kept asking for money, then one day i recieve dozen roses and bedroom slippers, i called the place that sent the slippers and was advised it was a gift, but it was a fraud account, someone had used a stolen credit card. DO NOT ACCEPT ANYTHING THAT COMES IN THE MAIL FROM ANYBODY.
This other person I met goes by richard_otoo123, wrote beautiful emails, says everything that a women wants to hear, wants money, when you deny the money, they say we have a trust issue.
WOMEN PLEASE BE CAREFUL, IT JUST SHOWS YOU HOW DANGEROUS THE INTERNET REALLY IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this scammer is tryin to scam me out of money and a phone.. he is a real scumbag has many email accts and different pictures of someone.. and acts so innocent.. dont trust him he sais he is from africa

this is regarding yahoo boy. he asked me for a phone he said his son broke his and he said to me that his wife died and had to go to africa on buisness and carried on a chat for weeks with me then he said his room got broken into and if i would help him that he and his kid were hungry and that i didnt know. but in the begining he said i shouldnt trust ppl on internet. which i should have listen too.
he asked me for money and said his son was scared he said he didnt have any family and couldnt ask them.
his email address is djohsonnic@yahoo.com and then when i confronted him he unidated my myspace with tons of fake profiles with all similar discription .. and one even with the same picture he used as yahoo boy..named adam.. all said the same he was in buisness in textiles and fabrics.
fake pictures.. similar profiles .. all lies.. I really wanted to believe him.. what a scammer.. when he asked me for a cell phone and that was it for me.. he said he was outa town and noone will mail him one from outa country . I told him sorry he has to wait till he gets back and he then stepped it up a notch and asked for money with this elaborate story.. .
This person and another “man” responded to my ad around 4:00 am and 6:00 am in the morning(strange by nature). Because the photo they used beared some similarity, and the writing style of their profile were similar, I suspected they were scammers at the very beginning. The other one used name Tony, used lots of true love talks which I told them were good for being used as “relationship amending”. I did not fall prey, the Tony one created some stories, but I told him that I could not help because of the internet crime reality. The djohsonnic@yahoo.com one acted very carefully on me, as “he” made step when “Tony” failed, and I said the reason I responded to them was because I suspected them. It appears to me they are not very “adult”, belongs to Y generation. It is painful to see how the innocent peoples’ photo are used by them, and I am wondering if there is any way that we can post the photo they used somewhere so that more people can become awared of what the scammers are doing. Nigeria’s legal environment seems having big issue, this Nigerian scammer wind does cause lots of confusion for the normal Americans.
